He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Cummins and Nancy Sowder Cummins; his wife Mary Thomason Cummins; his daughter Carolyn Sue Cummins; his grandchildren, Clayton Burdette and Maryanne A. Reynolds; and his siblings, Jean, Chester, Kenneth and Earl.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joanne Randolph of Mt. Vernon, Wanda King of Mt. Vernon and Patricia Gail Reynolds of Palm Coast, FL; his siblings, Bentley Cummins of Pigeon Forge, TN, Glen Cummins of Pigeon Forge, TN and Vivian Cummins of Berea; his grandchildren, Michael Christopher, Melanie, Stephen Wayne, Brian Thomas and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Michael, Charlie, Aaron, Taylor, Lecia, Leslie, Clay, Jr. and Alex; and his great great grandchildren, Alyssia, Jaylee and Leia.
