It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Mae Hurd of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, born in Morehead, Kentucky, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elam and Teressa Snipes Elam; her husband Rev. James Benton Hurd; her children, Mitchell M. Lykins, Wanda Schroer and Theresa Harvey; her grandson Christopher Schroer; her great grandchild Lauren Lee Shelton; and her siblings, Ray Elam, Roy Elam, David Elam and Louise Elam.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Hurd of Mt. Vernon, Trisha Sandlin (Mark Isaacs) of Mt. Vernon, Chad Hurd of Mt. Vernon, Michael Lykins of Blue Ash, OH, Lesley Burns (Sam) of Morrow, OH and Erica Hacker of Mt. Healthy, OH; her sister Carol Barnard of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jon, Megan, Brittany, Mindy of Mariah, C. J., Shaina, Tessa, Miya, Maddie, Rachel, Becky, Wade, Chelsie, Ruby, Randi and Devin; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Oakleigh, Riley, Allison, Kelan, McKinlee, Amelia, Rowland, Gwen, David, Mickayla, Annistasia, Ricky, Rizzo, Scarlett and Arnold; her pet Daisy; and also Christina Coleman.
