He is survived by: his daughter Ashlee Simpson (Andrew) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Emilee Jo Basham and Collin Denver Simpson; his stepgrandson Carson Simpson; his brothers, Darrell Alcorn of Mt. Vernon and Ernest Alcorn of Mt. Vernon; and his close friend Jeweldean Durham.
