Ellis McNew Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 85, Ellis McNew of Mount Vernon, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife June McNew (Isaac); his parents, Homer McNew and Irene McNew (Coffey); and his siblings, Alfred, Dwight, Wayne and Faye Fletcher.
He is survived by: his children, Ivy McNew of Knoxville, TN and Clayton McNew (Nicole) of Lawrenceburg, KY; his grandsons, Josh McNew and Dorian McNew; and his sister Barbara Thacker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home (365 W Main St, Mt Vernon, KY 40456).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Bluegrass Council of the Blind, Lexington KY.
