She was predeceased by: her mother Ida Mae Pingleton; her husband Oscar "Toad" Chasteen; her siblings, Elmer Lee, John, Jr., Paul Chasteen and Bertha Ellen Chasteen; her grandson Jeff Winstead; her great grandchild Samuel Hamilton; and her son-in-law James Hamilton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Hamilton of Berea, Laverne Winstead (Dale) of Mt. Vernon and Judy Parrott (David) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Sam Hamilton (Dana) of Mt. Vernon, Dr. Michael Hamilton (Teresa) of Mt. Vernon, Scott Winstead of Mt. Vernon, Teresa Brumfield (Adam) of Lexington and Craig Parrott (Alicia) of Solona Beach, CA; and her great grandchildren, Roy Scott Winstead, Tristan Winstead, Conner Winstead of Samantha Hamilton, J. D, Garrett Hamilton, Colin Hamilton and Van Brumfield.
