He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Earl and Mary Edith Doan; his brothers, Eddie Doan (Joyce) and Monroe Cromer (Sala); his niece Brenda Prince; and his nephew Dwayne Doan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Cheryl McFerron; his son Shane Doan (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kathryn, Merrick and Trevor Doan of Franklin, KY; his nephews, Zach Reams (Lyndsey) of Mt. Vernon and Noah Reams of Richmond; and his great-nephew Axton Reams of Mt. Vernon.
