It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Petty of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, born in Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Allen and Deloris Inez Mathis Petty; his children, Christopher Petty (Tiffany) of Dalton, GA, Bradley Petty (Tiffany) of Dalton, GA and Lacee Petty McCarthur (Brent) of Dalton, GA; his stepchildren, Jermey Bennett of North Carolina, Wesley Keber of Atlanta, GA and Andy Bennett of Atlanta, GA; his siblings, Jamey Petty (Laura) of Dalton, GA, Kathy Harris (Gary) of Dalton, GA. and Nelda Petty of Dalton, GA.; his grandchildren, Landon, Peyton, Jaxson, Kolby, Savana, Ellie, Ryleigh and Gage; his great grandchild Jayden; his cousins, Peggy Davis and Laura Jane Garrett; and his close friend Melinda Spurlock. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
