He was predeceased by: his parents, Sewell Skidmore and Gladys Duff Skidmore; his daughter Kimberly Skidmore Shortridge; and his siblings, Theopolis "Tee" Skidmore, Roger Skidmore and Pearl May Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lee Murray Skidmore of Mt. Sterling; and his nephew Shelby Reed.
