He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clem and America Whitaker Clem; his wife Lillian Lee Clem; his daughter Linda Clem; and his siblings, Walter Miller, Frank Miller, Callie Ashby West, Rachel Miller and Anna Clem.

He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Kline (JD) of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Katelyn Frazier (Brandon) and Joseph Kline; and his great grandchild Haylee Frazier.
