It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Ruth Rountree (Mount Sterling, Kentucky), who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Rountree; her son Larry Rountree; her parents, Stuart "Toots" Mack and Pauline "Polly" Foley Mack; and her sisters, Vivian Lynch and Ailene Powers.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Hargis (Mike) and Ray Rountree; her daughter-in-law Sandy Rountree Combs; her grandchildren, Kim Hall, Tracy Hays (Brad), Ben Hargis (Julia), Maria Clark, Brandon Rountree, Hannah Steele (Cody) and Jordan Rountree (Jacinta); her great grandchildren, Tyson Pitts (Hannah), Ryan, Grant, Luke Hays, Eli, Analee Hargis, Kaiden Rankin, Addison Clark, Dane, Drake, Damien, Halle Rountree, Madelyn, Frazier Steele, Jaxon, Jocelyn and Jonah Rountree; her great great grandchildren, Everly, Lettie and Jack Pitts; her siblings, Tootie Mack (Sharon) and Rhonda Foley (Gary); and her friend Louise Shoemaker. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the First Church of God in Verna's honor.
