He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Bernard and Dorothy Jane Austin McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Dede Sain McCarthy of Mt. Sterling; his former wife Robin Graham Morr; his son Patrick G. McCarthy of Michigan; his stepsons, Dennis Sain (Amanda) of Mt. Sterling, Billy Sain (Cathy) of Mt. Sterling and Donny Sain (Nancye) of Owingsville; and his siblings, Michael McCarthy (Beth), Catherine Stevenson (Tom) of Michigan and Mary Jo Taylor (Tom) of Michigan. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
