Ison of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, born in North Middletown, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 88, on December 31, 2022. She was predeceased by: her husband Noel Ison; and her parents, Ruth Jones Hoskins and Earl G. Bishop. She is survived by: her siblings, Becky Bishop Priest of Mt. Sterling, Jane Hoskins Pyle (Jimmy) of Maysville and Charles Bishop (Catherine) of Versailles. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children and her very special friend.

“I have fond memories of Sara from my childhood while visiting Jane in their home on West High Street. Later we taught in the same school system and I always enjoyed getting together at joint meetings. Even later, while she was at Sterling Meadows, it was refreshing to run into her. I will remember her fondly. Much love to Jane and Becky. You both have special places in my life. Lucile Lee Hardin”
