He was predeceased by: his son Phillip Sexton; his stepson William B. Cain; and his sisters, Jean Paynter and Phyllis Bragg. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Gross Sexton of Mt. Sterling; his children, Bryan Sexton, Robert Sexton (Ashley), Kathy Johnson and Linda Sexton; and his siblings, Roger Sexton (Laura), Ron Sexton (Linda) and Gladys Millsaps (Junior). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
