He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnie Garrett (Juliet Garrett) and Juliet Garrett; and his siblings, Irene Garrett, Muriel Wright, Martha Johnston, Leo and Bramlett Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Bettye Garrett; and his daughters, Cynthia Murphy (Danny), Tracy Garrett, Pamela Hinds (Kirby), Stephanie Kaye Stewart and Kelly Jones (Brian). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren.
