He was predeceased by: his father Carlos Combs; his son Kevin Combs; and his siblings, Allen C. Combs, Albert B. Combs and Jeanette Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Smith Combs of Mt. Sterling, KY; his son David Combs of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Caroline Martin, Bradley Combs, Emma Combs and Sophia Combs; and his great grandchildren, Tate Martin, Tessa Martin and Grady Martin.
