He was predeceased by: his parents, Linden Dyer and Martha Arnett Dyer. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Metz Dyer of Jeffersonville; his children, Phillip Dyer (Cheryl) of Means and Pamela Sue Richardson (Jerry) of Mt. Sterling; his brother Kennel Dyer (Betty) of Jeffersonville; his grandchildren, Jon Nolan Dyer (Bri) of Winchester, Christina Huber (Andy) of Jeffersonville, Robbie Rudd (Brenda) of Jeffersonville and Nick Rudd (Julie) of Sharpsburg; and his great grandchildren, Nolan Keith Dyer, Axel Henderson-Rudd, Kyra Henderson-Rudd, Jordan Henderson, Wyatt Rudd and Waylon Ratliff.
