It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Walters of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Walters and Marilyn Kay Green; and his brother Anthony Walters. He is survived by: his significant other Bernetti Walters of Mt. Sterling, KY; his children, Nolan Walters (Melissa) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Kyle Smith (Megan) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Briannia Kiser (Kaleb Vanover) of Mt. Sterling; his sisters, Missy Walters of Hope, KY, Jeanette Donald (Larry Martin) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Julie Caldwell of Mt. Sterling, KY, Janice Rawlings (Dean) of Frenchburg, KY, Patty Edger (Rick Banfield) of Means, KY and Beverly Lawhorn (Kevin Forrester) of Jeffersonville, KY; and his grandchildren, Olivia Cruz, Emma Vanover, Wyatt Smith, Caroline Smith and Jasmine Perkins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel (109 E Main St, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the Fortune Cemetery (78 Bedford Johnson Rd, Mt Sterling, KY 40353).
