He was predeceased by: his sister Marjorie Updike; and his grandsons, John Thomas Jones, Jr. and Joshua Shane Conkright. He is survived by: his daughters, Rena Purvis (Greg) of Mt. Sterling, Elizabeth Cox (Todd) of Mt. Sterling and Amy Taulbee (Jason) of Mt. Sterling; his siblings, Linda Highley (Gary) of Olympia, Dean Martin of Mt. Sterling and Joe Martin (Geraldine) of Mt. Sterling; his grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Kacie Taulbee and Kierra Taulbee; and his stepgrandchildren, Gregory Purvis (Melissa), Lora Muse (Patrick) and Sarah Purvis (Justin Lisle). He is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
