She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Grooms; her parents, Silas Perkins Collins and Laura Amburgey Collins; her daughter Loetta Fay Grooms; and her sisters, Goldie Miller and Dorthy Fletcher.
She is survived by: her sons, Harold Grooms (Nancy) and Bobby Grooms (Patsy); her grandchildren, Michael Grooms (Julie), Robin Fogle, Stephanie Jackson (David) and Stephen Grooms (Michele); her great grandchildren, Michelle Sobolewski (Rob), Katelyn Adams (Eric), Gus Fogle, Jonathan Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Hayden Grooms and Harper Grooms; and her great great grandchildren, Briggs Sobolewski, Macoy Sobolewski, Olivia Adams and Sadie Adams.
