We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2025, at the age of 95, Josephine Wingate of Mount Sterling, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Josephine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Josephine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Walker and Lillie Mae Ferguson Walker; her husband Dallas Morton Wingate; her daughter Sharon Gail Wingate; and her siblings, Edward Walker, Paul Walker and Dorothy Rudd.
She is survived by: her daughter Sue Terry (Mark) of Jeffersonville, KY..
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel (109 E Main St, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Machpelah Cemetery (600 E Locust St, Mt Sterling, KY 40353).
