She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Pitman and Ada Gossett Pitman. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Gabbard, Bonnie Hummel (Bill), Christine Combs (David), Joyce Baber, Betty Hartgrove, Lewis Tipton (Kandy) and Steve Tipton (Linda); and her brother Vernon Pitman of Dallas Texas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchildren.
