He is survived by: his wife Dessie Means; his sons, Ricky Means (Michelle), Dwayne Watkins and Steven Ashley (Tabatha); and his siblings, Ike Sams, Elizabeth Means, Margret Ashley and Delinia "Sissy" Sams. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
