He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Joan Tackett; and his close friends, Earl Whisman and Bobby Jean Amburgey. He is survived by: his children, Danny Tackett (late Joan) of Frenchburg, Ricky Tackett (Monica) of Frenchburg, Doris Cockrell (David) of Mt. Sterling and Lisa Miller (Rob) of Winchester; and his spouse Henrietta "Faye" Bellamy Tackett. He is also survived by thirteen siblings; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
