He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill "Jack" Vinson and Florence Donaldson Smoot; his daughter Angela Vinson Doll; his sister Judy Cockrell; and his stepfather James Smoot.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Linkous Vinson of Mt. Sterling; his sons, Kendall Vinson (Jennifer) of Roanoke and Jason Vinson (Channing) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Brandon Vinson of Roanoke, Ethan Doll (Emmalee) of Lexington, Cameron Doll of Lexington, Logan Vinson of Roanoke, Alyssa Doll of Lexington and Megan Doll of Lexington; his sister Gayle Tipton of Mt. Sterling; and his friends, George David Donaldson, Gene Meadows and Earl Gilvin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rolling Hills Church of Christ and Rolling Hills Bible Camp.
