He was predeceased by: his father Paul Short; and his son Christopher Stewart Short. He is survived by: his mother Virgaleen Karrick Short of Mt. Sterling; his wife Karen Oaks Short; his daughter Melody Setters (Brent); his grandchildren, Ben Short (Bryanna), Caroline Short, Garrett Short, Conner Short, Patrick Setters and Brody Setters; his great grandchild Blake Carter Short; his daughter-in-law Joy Wilson Short of Mt. Sterling; and his sister Lana Short of Bath County. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gateway Christian Church.
