She was predeceased by: her husband James Smoot; her brothers, Cecil Donaldson, Earl Donaldson, George Donaldson and Kenneth Donaldson; her grandchildren, Michelle Renee Cockrell, Angela Vinson Doll and James Mathew Cockrell; and her son-in-law Tom Tipton.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Vinson (Betty) of Mt, Gayle Tipton, Judith Cockrell (Tommy) and Sterling; her brothers, Woody Donaldson and Larry Donaldson (Phyllis); and also Sterling. She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Rolling Hills Church of Christ or the Rolling Hills Church Camp.
