She was predeceased by: her parents, Silva Shannon and Mildred Clary Shannon; and her sisters, Jewell Shannon and Sylvia Crump. She is survived by: her children, Sterling Smith (Carey) of Forney, Edward Smith (Kathryn) of Seguin, Michael Smith (Angela) of Winchester, Selena Willoughby of Mt. Sterling and Mariane Smith of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
