He was predeceased by: his sons, Benjamin Turner Oldham (Ben), William Kavanaugh Oldham (Bill) and Matthew Perry Oldham (Matt); his parents, David Oldham (Mary Oldham) and Mary Oldham; his brother Jack Oldham (Diana Perry Oldham) of Oldham's Store; and his daughter Mary Oldham (Mary).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Turner, Callie, Clay, Will, Alex, Annie, Josh Betz, Justin Betz, Megan, Hannah and Carson Oldham.
They travelled to Alabama, bought a baby lion (the fraternity mascot) and raised the cub in the basement of the SAE house there on campus at Vanderbilt, until the cost of feeding a young lion and pranksters letting the lion loose in sorority houses forced them to donate it to a local zoo.
