He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Davis and Avie Shortridge Davis; his grandson Jaxton Conley; and his siblings, Shorty Davis, Trish Skaggs and Ethel Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Adams Davis; his children, Tyler Davis (Dolly) of Frenchburg, Sandy Conners of Frenchburg and Amber Davis of Ezel; and his siblings, Dean Davis of Frenchburg, Beaver Davis (Susie) of Jeffersonville, Bill Davis of Frenchburg, Dumpy Davis of Salt Lick, Subbie Wilder of Owingsville and Marsha Williams (Ron) of Jeffersonville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grand children.
