He is survived by: his wife Lola Craycraft Downey; his sons, Doug Downey (Becky) of Knoxville and Larry Downey of Mt. Sterling; his grandchildren, Richard Downey (Jessica), Nathan Downey (Grace), Jacquie Downey, Jessica Blevins and Casey Highley; his great grandchildren, Jayda Puckett and Forrest Downey; and his siblings, Gracie Rogers of Mt. Sterling, Alice Norris (Bill) of Mt. Sterling, Margie Fields (Rick) of Mt. Sterling, Faye Stone (Doug), Christine Letcher and Charles Downey (Cathy) of Owingsville.
