She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Carpenter and Ida Blanche Wade Carpenter; her husband Charlie Wilson Jr.; her daughter Barbara Wilson; her sisters, Margaret Walters Graham and Louise Lawson; and her niece Teresa Compston.

She is survived by: her nephew Daryl Walters. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
