She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Bennett and Dorothy Bennett; her husband Yaundell Oaks; her brother Jerry Bennett; her grandson Chris Short; and her brother-in-law Gilbert Stephenson.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Oaks (Tammy) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Karen Short (Gary) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Cindy Howard (Anthony) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Lisa Kilgore (Bill) of Mt. Sterling, KY; her siblings, Donnie Bennett (Peggy) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Jeff Bennett (Jamie) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Patty Stephenson of Dewitt, IA, Shelia Fleischer (David) of Cincinnati, OH and Debbie Carpenter of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Melody Setters (Brent), Matthew Conley, Jesse Howard (Amber), Casey Howard, Nick Howard, Candice Kimsey (Scott) and Brandi Haddix; and her granddaughter-in-law Joy Short. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
