He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Liggett and Hattie Richards Liggett; his wife Margaret Howard Liggett; and his siblings, David Liggett, Robert Liggett, Fred Liggett, Bessie Liter, Hazel Newkirk, Pauline Johnson, Shelby McClements, Thelma Rhea and Virginia Fritts.
He is survived by: his children, Carlene Morrison (Eric), Monna Brown (Don) and Vernon Dean Liggett; his grandchildren, Michael Brown (Amy), Carey Brown, Jeremy Hanna, Crystal Brown, Eric Hanna (Kara), Ashley Holland (Ryan) and Whitney Hanna; and his siblings, Marie Elam, Nancy Reffett, Marion Liggett and Kelly Liggett. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
