With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Allya Jones of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Allya left this world on November 17, 2024 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daugherty Matthews and Julia Mae Brown Matthews; her husband Johnnie Jones; her son Billy Bruce Jones; and her siblings, John Alexander Matthews, Glenna McQuithy, Elizabeth Thomas, Dorothy Curry Thomas, Katherine Call and Wilma Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Larry W. Jones (Sandy) of Winchester and Patricia Jones Sorrell of Mt. Sterling; her grandchildren, Elgena Jones, Elisha Jones, Chuck Sorrell (Tracy), Crystal Amburgey (Byron) and Stephanie Wengert (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Lacey Sorrell, Kaitlyn Sorrell and Beth Poer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Camargo Church of God (4322 Camargo Rd, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at the Longview Cemetery (721 Bethel Ridge Rd, Sharpsburg, KY 40374).
