He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Bryan and Sophia Wilson Buchanan Prewitt; and his siblings, Bryan Prewitt Jr., Emma Prewitt, Bernice McCall, Bettye Soper, Ann Wills, Eileen Culbertson, Strauter Prewitt, Roger Prewitt, Bertha Wallace, Jane Martin and Tommy Prewitt.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Joseph Prewitt; his children, Miranda Brookshire (Randy) of Winchester and Aaron Joseph Prewitt (Erica) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jacob Prewitt, Rebeckah Prewitt, Isaiah Prewitt, Elijah Brookshire, Andrew Brookshire and Caroline Brookshire; his great grandchildren, Dawson Clay and Brantley Dale; and his siblings, Davis Prewitt (Patty) of Paducah, Catesby Prewitt (Rita) of Mt. Sterling and Lillie Roberts of Benson.
