He was predeceased by: his parents, Arene Trivett (Gentry) and J. T. Trivett; his wife Brenda Trivett (Turner); and his brothers, Jackie and Timmy Trivett.
He is survived by: his children, Bessie Wood (Larry) of Lucas, KY, Matthew Trivett (Ashley) of Tompkinsville, KY and Brian Trivett of Tompkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Madison, Taylor and Logan; his great grandchild Rylee Brook Lynn Newport; and his siblings, Renay Trivett of Mt. Herman, KY, Lisa Greever of Glasgow, KY, Audrey Kurtz of Glasgow, KY and Leon "Buzz" Trivett of Tompkinsville, KY..
