It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Mello Jr. of Mount Eden, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William E., Sr.; his great grandchild Landon Michael; and his siblings, Wayne, Jonathan and Mary Mello.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Mello (Thompson); his children, Bill Mello III (Tiffany), Becky Mello Hiter (Michael) and Jeremy Mello (Holly); his grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Lauren, Katie, Landree and Noah; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Vinny, Lacie, Kayleigh Jo, Ryan and Harper Grace; his brothers, Kevin, Keith and Jeff Mello; and his goddaughter Brandy Mello Thompson.
