She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Nation and Gertrude Jackson Nation; and her siblings, Mary Lee Waldridge, David, Jesse B., Donnie and Randal Nation.

She is survived by: her close friend George Patton; her sons, Daniel Hicks of Louisville and Jamie Rose of Taylorsville; her granddaughters, Becky and Gracie Ridner; and her sister Beverly Brown of Taylorsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
