She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wolaver and Evalyn Evans Wolaver; her husband Bill J. Cowan; her daughter Cindy Cowan; her siblings, Billy, David Wolaver and Jean Wolaver; and her daughter-in-law Johnna Sue Cowan.
She is survived by: her son Greg Cowan of Morgantown; her grandchildren, Kristi Johnson (Alex) of Morgantown, Michael Cowan (Mona) of Colorado Springs, Kelli Arias (Louis) of Lawrence and Daniel Cowan (Rachelle) of Morgantown; her great grandchildren, Zoie Davis of Lawrence and Zoria Davis of Morgantown; and her sister Penny Shattuck (John) of Punta Gorda.
