He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie James and Dimple Moore Daugherty; and his brother Roger Daugherty. He is survived by: his children, Joshua R. Daugherty, Stacye Johnson (Brad) and Dawn "DeeDee" Overton (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Madison Wingo, Raigan Daugherty, Baylee Johnson, Ava Overton, Jaxten Overton and Ryker Daugherty; his great grandchild Maddox Wingo; and his siblings, Reda Seabolt (Richie), William "Bill" Daugherty, Jeffery Daugherty (Laurie) and Rollie Daugherty Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
