He was predeceased by: his father Elmer "Jim"; his grandmother Staton Burden; his siblings, Judith Moore (George), Rev. Jimmie Burden (Joyce) and Sandy Carroll; his niece Paula Miller; his nephew Timmy Burden; and his great-nephew Nathaniel Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Burden; his children, Tammy Alford (Mark) of Morgantown, KY. and Wesley Burden of Morgantown, KY.; his grandchildren, Denishia Morris (Chad) and Jason Gordon; his great grandchildren, Averi and Blake Morris; his nieces, Denise Tarrance (Brian) and Donna Dockery (Scotty); his great-niece Sierra Beck; his great-nephews, Jacob Dockery of Morgantown, KY and Trace Tarrance of Morgantown, KY; and also Max Beck. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
