Opal Shields Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2020, at the age of 81, Opal Shields of Morgantown, Kentucky, born in Butler, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Hudnall and Lelia Gidcumb Hudnall; her husband Lanny Ross Shields; her sisters, Hazel Hudnall, Dorsie Lewis and Mary Frances Riley; her nephew Barry Riley; and her nieces, Vonnie Thomason and Connie Riley.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Wendell Embry; her children, Lanny Dale Shields (Stephanie), Charles Shields and Sherry Johnson (Stan); her granddaughters, Jessica Burns (Ricky), Samantha Epley (Johnathan), Brandy Cook (Stuart), Shawna Flener (Erik) and Tabatha Long (Chad); her great grandchildren, Addison Burns, Liam Burns, Jackson Epley, Emma Cook, Ian Heins, Abigail Oakley, Braxton Oakley, Joseph Oakley, Trey Hall and Kaelyn Long; and her sister Margie Flener.
Due to new Covid restrictions a private funeral service will be held at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating.
