He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Cox and Clara Cox; his wife Carol Deel Cox; his sons, Terry and Jackie Cox; and his siblings, Frank, Oscar, Joe Cox and Dorothy Steble.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Cox (Sherry) of Morgantown, Tony Cox (Connie) of Morgantown, Gary Cox (Loretta) of Morgantown and Christine Cox of Morgantown; and his siblings, Mary Elliott of Louisville, Shirley Blanton of Morgantown and Walter Cox. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
