He was predeceased by: his daughter Diane Parker (Jeff); his granddaughter Sharon Ann Deweese; and his siblings, Wallace, Robert, Alvis, Billy Deweese, Irene Phelps and Lorene Burden.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Coleman Deweese; his grandchildren, Harold Glen Deweese (Amy), Chasity Moore (Greg), Ashley Willoughby (Travis), Caleb Deweese (Madison), Audrey and Andrea Deweese; and his great grandchildren, Skyler, Conley, Maddox Moore, Parker Willoughby and Hattie Deweese.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel (927 W G L Smith St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
