He was predeceased by: his siblings, Pansy Parks, Effie Jo French, Fred and Rod Cardwell. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Wise Cardwell of Morgantown, KY; his children, Paula Vanderpool (Alan) of Blackey, KY and Arvel Dwayne Cardwell (Holly) of Morgantown, KY; his grandchildren, Manuel Vanderpool (Amanda) of Blackey, KY and Amelia Faith Cardwell of Morgantown, KY; his great grandchildren, Asher and Weston Vanderpool of Blackey, KY; and his half-sister Enaleen Smith (Doug) of Morgantown, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
