He was predeceased by: his father James A. Brooks. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Cox Brooks; his wife Sandy Daugherty Brooks; his children, Jennifer McCombs (Todd), Allen Brooks Jr. (Tammy) and Darrel Brooks (Amanda); his stepson William Givens (Jennifer); and his brother Bobby Brooks of Morgantown, KY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
