With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert R. Eckels of Morganfield, Kentucky, born in Waverly, Kentucky, who passed away on August 1, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Eckels and Mary Elizabeth Eckels; his son Mark Eckels; his siblings, Josephine Eckels, Dorothy Stanley, Edgar and Phillip Eckels; and his sons-in-law, Johnny Gayle Thompson and Adam Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Alves (Jesse Smith) of Uniontown, KY, Debbie Fox of Owensboro, KY, Karen Thompson of Henderson, KY, Dana Hall of Farmington, MO, Bobby Eckels (Sue) and Steve Eckels (Tina) of Waverly, KY; and his siblings, Mildred McBride of Louisville, KY, Rose Drury of Gilbertsville, KY, Margaret Hibbs of Louisville, KY, Mary Parker of Louisville, KY, Pete Eckels and John Eckels of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren A host of nieces and nephews.
