She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Lumpkin and Edward Lumpkin; her husband Walter E. Thomas; and her sons, Frederick Kinard, Freeman Kinard, Ronald Kinard and Edward Kinard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marlene Borges Jenkins, Mary Kinard-Price, Cynthia D. Kinard and Hazel A. King.
