He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James "Leroy" and Reva Heffington Lovell; his grandmother Mom Agnes; his brother Ricky Lovell; his granddaughter Emily Turner; his wife Jackie; his children, Amy Turner (Greg) of Morganfield, Brian Lovell (Homer) of Sturgis, Stephanie Middleton (Dennis) of Plainfield and Mike Benton (Kim) of Tip City, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Kali Mayes, Brian "Alex" Turner, Maggie Turner, Erianna Turner, Aaron Lovell, Brandon Lovell, Austin Lovell, Landon Lovell, Austin Stewart-Lovell, Chad Michael Middleton, Luke Middleton and Lily Benton; his great grandchildren, Chloe Mayes, Vivienne Mayes, Brian Wesley Smith, Cole Turner and Natalee Turner; and his siblings, J. L. Lovell (Angeles) of Morganfied, Sammy Lovell (Carolyn) of Henshaw, Wynell Mackey (Jerry) of Dekoven and Shelia Carson of Bloomington. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
