She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Buckman and Maude Buckman; her husband James B. Girten; her children, James B. Jr. and Brenda Catherine; and her sister Ann Marie.

She is survived by: her wife Jennifer Girten of Morganfield; her daughter Michelle Baird (John) of Uniontown; her siblings, Rosie Floyd (Hamel) of Uniontown, Sylvia Franklin of Uniontown, Brenda Alvey of Morganfield and David Buckman of Louisville; and her grandsons, Kevin Baird (Kristen, Chase Girten), Robbie Baird (Sammie, Travis Girten) and Camden Girten.
